Assign Activity 6.4 rather than the entire lesson. Have students examine the prospectus information to identify fund charges, annual expenses, and return disclosures. Discuss why a fund without a sales load can still have ongoing costs and why investors should consider both expenses and applicable taxes when comparing returns.
